I doodled this guy around the beginning of the school year as a bit of a joke about how overwhelmed and frustrated I was feeling at the time, and I decided a couple weeks back (when I was feeling the same way) that I should ink and paint him!
I am mostly pleased with this picture, but I'm kind of disappointed about how his eyes and teeth turned out (the watercolours stripped off some of the paper, and re-inking turned out to be a disaster). I didn't originally intend to add so much red to the wolf-thing himself, but I got a little carried away, and I like it a lot more this way! The scan isn't too great, though. The reds are a lot more vibrant in real life, and the blues are more grey. Peter here has a little brother that I drew ages ago too, and he looks just as crazy. Maybe I'll revisit that drawing as well! Watercolour and ink, roughly 8"x10". |
